Oats processing plant

  • Flake Screen

The SCHULE flake screen is used for control screening of any type of flakes downstream of the flaking process, be it oat, rice, pea or wheat flakes.

  • Grading Cylinder

The SCHULE grading cylinder is used for sorting and classifying grain seeds and granular products such as many grain varieties, in particular oats, pulses and rice.

  • Circular Screen

The SCHULE circular screen is used in oat, wheat, rye, spelt, barley, maize, soya, pea, buckwheat, millet and rice mills as well as in silos for grain cleaning. The screens can be used to remove coarse and fine impurities from the grain as well as to classify products into different sizes.

  • Fluidised Bed Drier

The SCHULE fluidised bed drier has been designed for gentle drying and cooling of cereals, flakes and legumes. It is completely made of stainless steel, specifically for the requirements of the food industry.

  • Drum Groat Cutter

When it comes to the production of groated grains and this homogeneously, with little cutting meal and highest capacities, the SCHULE drum groat cutter is the appropriate machine.

  • Plansifter

The SCHULE plansifter SI P is used for screening, sifting and classifying various mealy or granular products. Thus the plansifter is a very versatile machine.

  • Flaking Roller Mill

In order to produce flakes, you will need - apart from a steamer and a tempering bin - one thing above all: a flaking mill which shapes the moistened and heated grains as desired.

  • Fluidised Bed Cooler

The SCHULE fluidised bed cooler has been designed for gentle drying of cereals. It is completely made of stainless steel, specifically for the requirements of the food industry.

  • Counter-Current Coarse Sifter

The SCHULE counter-current coarse sifter is used for the removal of husks, meal and dust or for efficient cooling of the rice between the whitening/polishing passages.

  • Oat Polisher

The SCHULE oat polisher is used to remove the fine hair, the so-called fluff, which surrounds the oat grain as gently and completely as possible.

  • Steaming Screw

The SCHULE steaming screw serves for the hydrothermal treatment of cereals and legumes. It is used prior to the kiln-drying and flaking process.

  • Aspiration Channel

The SCHULE aspiration channels AS and AS U are used for the separation of products with different specific gravities. The aspiration channel is primarily used to remove product particles with a lighter specific weight from a wide variety of cereals.

  • Kiln

The SCHULE kiln is used for heat treatment of cereals, mainly oats. On the one hand the lipolytic enzymes are inactivated which improves the shelf life of the product and on the other hand a nutty aroma is obtained.

  • Destoner

The SCHULE destoners ST and ST D are used for the separation of stones in a continuous process. Due to its mode of operation, the destoner separates specifically heavier components from the lighter accepted product. Stones, broken glass and metal can be sorted out with a high degree of separation, even if they do not differ from the accepted product in size and shape.

  • De-awner

The SCHULE de-awners EG 200 and EG 5 are based on the principle of a friction-type polishing machine. They are used to loosen the husks, remove the awns, dissolve double grains and treat the grain surface of oats.

  • Impact Huller

Hulling is an important process step in an oat processing plant. The SCHULE impact huller is one of the main machines in this process and is used to hull for example oats, sunflower seeds, spelt as well as buckwheat and hemp.

  • High-Capacity Closed Circuit Husk Separator

The SCHULE high-capacity closed circuit husk separator HUS 1260 is used to separate the light fraction from the heavy fraction in a continuous process.

  • Indented Cylinder

The SCHULE indented cylinder is primarily used for cleaning. Alternatively, the indented cylinder is also used for sorting. By means of rotation, the indented cylinder sorts a wide variety of grains lengthwise and thus differentiates between hulled and unhulled oats.

  • Table Separator

The SCHULE table separator is primarily used for sorting. This is one of the most important processes and thus is carried out as a separate step in a processing plant.

  • Colour Sorting Machine

To achieve the highest possible quality of the final product, SCHULE colour sorting machines are used. They can be equipped with different cameras depending on the application. Colour differences, different surface discolouration and concealed damage, e.g. below a husk, can be detected.

  • Hydrothermal Conditioner

Starch gelatinization, inactivation of lipolytic enzymes and the best possible preparation of the product for the flaking process, all of this is, among other things, ensured by the hydrothermal SCHULE conditioner.
