The indented cylinder is designed for sorting by length. Many grains, seeds, kernels and other free-flowing products, which are to be separated from each other, are of almost identical dimensions, except for their length. Thanks to these differences in length precise separations can be achieved with the indented cylinder.
Thousands of indents are pressed into the special steel sheet jackets forming the cylinder. These indents separate all the broken grains or shorter products. They are fed into a cavity, which can be adjusted from the outside during operation, and discharged. This ensures an immediate adjustment of the separation efficiency without any loss of production. The main product and the broken grains or shorter products leave the machine through two separate outlets. The two outlets are easily accessible and closed with a plastic cover allowing the classified or separated product to be checked or sampled at any time.
Advantages of the indented cylinder:
- Easy sampling
- Adjustable cavity
- Precise separation
In cleaning, in addition to many other machines, the indented cylinder is used for sorting out foreign impurities from the grain, and usually it is installed downstream of a circular screen and a dry stoner.
