The product to be hulled is fed to the rotating centrifugal wheel via an immersion tube that regulates the throughput rate. A rotary knob with position indicator ensures reproducible settings. Inside the centrifugal wheel, the product is orientated and thrown against an impact ring by centrifugal forces.
The impact ring, which is perfectly adapted to the product, and a frequency converter that regulates the speed of the centrifugal wheel ensure a high hulling degree with very low percentage of broken grains.
The automatic impact ring adjustment ensures uniform wear of the impact ring and thus consistently good hulling results and a long service life. The impact ring is held in place in the machine by powerful magnets, which means it can be replaced within seconds and without tools.
The mixture produced by the impact huller consists of a fraction of dehulled grains, a fraction of unhulled grains, and the detached hulls. The hulls can be removed from the mixture in the downstream husk separator.
