The SCHULE counter-current coarse sifter is mainly used after shelling or between the pearling passages and sorts out husks, dust, and fine granulate particles. It is used in mills and plants for processing a wide variety of grains, legumes and oilseeds.
The product falls through the centrally arranged inlet onto the height-adjustable dispersion cone and flows in a flat parabolic trajectory over the entire circumference through the separating chamber. By means of an air regulating device in the outlet socket, the air quantity can be adjusted at any time.
A transparent cylinder which provides dust-tight enclosure of the working area allows visual control of the separating effect.
In a sorting process, the counter-current coarse sifter is used upstream of machines such as the table separator, and upstream of the plansifter in a groating process.
